These illustrations are from the book I wrote and illustrated in my Drawing for Illustration class with Gayle Donahue. By far one the BEST classes I have take yet, I would love to take that class every term, forever! The book is a metaphorical short story on tolerance, written in poem form much akin to a children's book. I'm going to TRY and get it published, it's quite a feat but hopefully it will work, we'll see :) Until then, be happily teased by these little ones. (Gouache, Micron Pen, Acrylic Ink, Digital)

Short Story Scenes
These illustrations are from the book I wrote and illustrated in my Drawing for Illustration class with Gayle Donahue. By far one the BEST classes I have take yet, I would love to take that class every term, forever! The book is a metaphorical short story on tolerance, written in poem form much akin to a children's book. Mean Ol' Kitty Cats
I had the opportunity to take on the "Mean Girls" assignment from Will's class as a side assignment last term, and to my delight we did cat-taurs this time! Above are a series of head designs and some later designs of the cat-taur mean girls. They evolved quite a bit from my original sketches, but the later designs with the short, stubby, wonky legs were some of my favorites by far. (Progresso pencil, Prismacolor pencil, Bond & Toned paper)
YOU in the ZOO
Gals and Gators
Yet again, another side assignment - dancing alligators! Some look more like crocs but OH how they dance! (Progresso pencil, Bond paper)
Tee Hee
These are pages from the concept book I had to prepare for my Creative Perspective class. Tough class, but very much worthwhile, still need a lot more practice with all this. I thought it would be boring to do a plain concept book, so just to add some kick to it, I created a storyline for the theme of the whole book and wrote it in poem form (first image in this post). Each stanza in the poem introduced a new chapter/project in the book. It was super fun to write :)
Mean Ol' Mermaids
There is something infinitely delightful about drawing cranky crustacean mermaids (especially when they are in a moment of disagreement hoo hoo) :D This was for the "Mean Girls" project for Inventive Drawing with Will Weston. FANTASTIC class - invaluable for improving drawing skills and learning basic character design, and just a world of fun! These lobster ladies were my "jock" bullies - I designed a rival gang of sassy socialites and I'm hoping to develop some comps with the two groups clashing.
Poor Dino
Aha my first post! Not the most profound, but it's the oldest I have - so for the sake of chronology here it is. These are prop designs and a layout done for my Sketching for Entertainment class last summer. Wonderful class, I struggled immensely, being that I had never before drawn cinematic layouts, but I'm all the more determined to work on these this summer and get better at em! :D
